We designed the overall layout first before jumping into coding the theme. First, we made two different designs on Figma. The first iteration was a design that mimics the Tumblr dashboard layout and the second one is the modern layout we designed for the other version.
After so many considerations, we decided to choose the first iteration because people are more familiar with how the Tumblr dashboard look and thought that the experimental design one is not for everyone.
