According to the new UIL guidelines, all employees, parents, visitors and students ten years of age or older must wear face coverings when present in an area where a UIL activity is being held.

These guidelines apply to those not actively practicing. Exceptions do apply in cases where a medical condition prevents an individual from wearing a mask or when someone is eating or drinking. Individuals are also required to distance themselves six feet apart when not wearing face coverings.

This includes checking their temperature prior to attending activities. Teachers and staff are also required to report to the school if they have had contact with an individual who has tested positive for COVID If symptomatic, or if they have confirmed exposure to the virus, teachers and staff may not participate or attend events until the day incubation period has passed.

Parents are also expected to check their students for symptoms and any suspected exposure as well. Still, with these guidelines, Katy parents express concern.

This week the TEA shared their guidelines for Texas schools to reopen next month and Katy families were divided. Katy ISD also shared the results from their recent parent survey. Only about a third of those who received the survey responded and results were varied. Shadow Creek QB Jamarian George had an unforgettable yard touchdown run in the second half on a third-and play. But the pass rush got after him with nine sacks and George finished with just 79yards rushing on 17 carries he lost 74 on sacks.

Prince Dorbah had four sacks including a huge fourth down in the fourth quarter after Shadow Creek had gotten to within 10 and started a possession in Scots' territory. Highlights: Longview trailed by eight points three seperate times, including in the fourth quarter, but took the lead for good with to go on a 2-yard touchdown run by Jessie Anderson, who scored twice. Lobos quarterback Haynes King hit big plays all day with 16 of 27 passes for yards and two TDs. He also rushed for 65 yards and one TD.

Teammate Jakobi Holland had yards and two TDs on the ground. The teams combined for 1, yards with Longview holding a advantage. To borrow a phrase from the great Tepper , this game is "crazy-town-banana-pants!
