Top review. Great start. I read an earlier review comparing this show to 'Friends'. They couldn't be more wrong. Sure, its got the typical cast of 3 main female character and 3 main male characters, some who are in relationships and some who are single, but this seems to be the norm to most new sitcoms ie. This show on the other hand is quite refreshing in a way that makes it comparable to other popular past sitcoms, yet is original and different.
Flashbacks during scenes remind you of Scrubs and Family Guy yet do it in a way that doesn't make it seem like they're stealing that idea. You've really got to see it to know what I mean. So far, while writing this review only four episodes have been shown, and quite honestly, I can't wait for the next one to come out. The characters all have their own unique qualities that make them interesting and i'm sure that as the series goes on we'll get to know more about them.

Even though the show was canceled too soon, it's not possible or even necessary to pick a favorite episode because it's one of those comedies where you can drop in and lose yourself in the jokes at any point. When the show originally aired, ABC aired many episodes in a different order than the writers intended.
Luckily, that never made the show any less funny or less watchable. If we have to pick a few favorites though, there are some that stick out. Hulu: Plans, Pricing, Channels and More. Start at the beginning with "The Pilot Episode. The show truly reflected real life in how messy, awkward and weird these situations can be, and it found a lot of humor in that as well. Meanwhile, we still don't consider it spring until we've watched "The Butterfly Effect Effect" Season 2, Episode 15 in which Brad and Jane are about to have their annual fight and Max is in bear mode, literally hibernating at Dave's house until the fight happens.
Also in Season 2 is "Big White Lies" which features Penny, Alex, and Jane try to shake an old acquaintance who wants to reconnect with the gang.
Penny meets the man of her dreams on a blind date, who she later finds out happens to have a rather infamous last name. Penny who once studied in Italy is excited when she meets a gorgeous Italian guy. Problem is, he speaks no English and she finds she can only speak Italian when she's drunk. Dave misses his old digs as he adjusts to living with Max so he starts hanging out at Alex's place helping out with odd jobs.
For his response, Dave decides to quit his boring job and open a restaurant. Trying to keep up with her current boyfriend and his friends leaves Penny exhausted. Jane meddles when Max passes on what she considers the perfect guy and there are unexpected results when Brad takes on what he thinks is the world's worst waiter.
But when Penny goes on a date with Alan, she realizes he isn't quite what Dave thinks.
