Clary is holding Jace's hand who is a relative of Will 2. Clary is a decedent of Jem I really like the 2 theory because it is rather ironic the Clary and Jace would be in love with each if their who-knows-how-many-greats grandparents were best friends.
I think that would be very interesting. But this will be clear in the future because I have a feeling Miss Gray will appear in the series once again. What do you guys think? Do you think I am off base or are you as excited as I am with this new discovery?

I always like to read books in the world's chronological order instead of publication order. I think its because Clary saw a picture or something of Tessa in Jace's box of his dads old things. It takes place during City of Ashes when Jace is under house arrest, in which Magnus is reminiscing about the time during Infernal Devices and talks about falling in love with mortals, while being immortal.

Also, Cassandra has said there is a reason 'Fray' and 'Gray' are so similiar. Since Fray is made up by Jocelyn, I think it was derived from Gray.

I'm still holding onto hope that she is Jace's ancestor, and that's why she looks familiar to Clary. And of course if she's his ancestor, she has to be a Herondale :. Tessa isn't a Herondale. If you read TID, you'll know that. Even if she married Will, she couldn't be Jace's ancestor, because she's a warlock, and they can't have children.

Just make sure you still have the signature Shadowhunter runes on your body. Tessa Grey is the perfect Victorian lady to be this Halloween season especially if you can track down a pink dress like the one in this photo. When I found this dress at a thrift store and put it on it reminded me of the type of dress that Tessa wears on the jacket of Clockwork Princess so I wanted to try and recreate it.
